DeliveryNetherlands, EindhovenFull-time

Project Manager

About the role

You are the person who makes a two-country delivery model feel like one team to the client. One foot in the Netherlands with the client, the other with the engineers in Jakarta. You keep expectations clear, deadlines real and quality high, and you make sure the client never has to think about time zones.

This is not a middleman role, and we would not hire one. You understand both sides well enough to translate in each direction: a client's business need into something a developer can build, and technical complexity into an update a stakeholder can act on. The Dutch layer is what makes our model work, and this seat sits at the centre of it.

What you'll do

  • Lead projects from kickoff to delivery with the hybrid Netherlands–Indonesia team.
  • Manage client expectations, and tell them early when something is going to slip. Early is the whole job.
  • Run sprint planning, backlog refinement and capacity planning.
  • Spot risks while they are still cheap, and act on them rather than log them.
  • Guard quality and agree acceptance criteria with the client up front, not at delivery.
  • Write project documentation that people actually read.
  • Improve the process and the templates as you go. What you fix once should stay fixed.

How we build

We care more about the foundation of a solution than about the speed of the first demo, and that shapes what you agree with a client. Governance, compliance and traceability are designed in from the start rather than bolted on afterwards, so when we put agents to work we record what they did and why, and a decision can always be reconstructed. You lead a team that is amplified by AI and stays accountable for what it delivers, which changes how you plan, how you review and what you promise. Protecting that standard when a deadline argues against it is part of the job, not a nice-to-have.

How we work

You work in one team with our engineers in Jakarta, with fixed overlap hours so the working day is genuinely shared rather than handed over. Nothing here gets written up as a specification and thrown across a timezone: you work the same day they do, and you know the people whose work you are representing. Lines are short, with no account managers, no steering committees, and direct contact with the founders on the decisions that matter. Travelling to Jakarta to spend time with the team is a normal part of the role, not a reward. We hold ourselves to the same standard we sell: our own daily operations get improved alongside client work, and when something we built ourselves stops holding up we rebuild it rather than patch around it.

Bonus points

  • Experience with nearshore or offshore development teams.
  • A technical background, or enough knowledge of software development to earn a developer's trust.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or a comparable certification.
  • Experience at a consultancy or agency.
  • Affinity with Indonesian culture, or experience working with Asian teams.
  • Experience at a fast-growing startup or scale-up.

Growth, and what we offer

Where we are right now, so you can judge what you are joining: the Jakarta hub is expanding, and our clients are in the Benelux and the wider EU. That is where the focus sits. Our Dutch engineers sit with the client and build the work together with the team in Jakarta, on the same day rather than across a handover, because what we are working towards is being the technology partner a client trusts with the things that matter rather than a supplier you send a specification to. Growing into the Indonesian market comes after that, and the first commercial seat in Jakarta is where it starts. You arrive while all of this is still taking shape.

  • A competitive salary matching your experience, reviewed every year.
  • Year one you learn our delivery model from the inside. Year two you shape it. The people who join now define how this company builds for the next five years.
  • We listen to our OneMinders. If you see a better way of working, you get the room to develop it and the backing to actually roll it out. Your opinion counts here, and this company is shaped by the people in it.
  • An annual learning budget for courses and certifications, tied to where you want to go.
  • Hybrid working with genuinely flexible hours, and hardware of your choice.
  • Direct access to the founders. Short lines, fast decisions, no bureaucracy.
  • Work that funds something: every project contributes to educational initiatives in Indonesia.
  • Regular travel to Jakarta to spend time with the team there.

How we hire

You speak with the people you would actually work with, not a screening layer that passes you on. The process is the same in Eindhoven and in Jakarta, and from your application to an offer takes three to four weeks.

  1. 1

    The founders

Why us, why you, and whether we mean the same thing.

  2. 2

    The Tech Lead

The work itself: the substance of the role, and what you would actually be doing in it.

  3. 3

    A teammate

Someone you would work with daily, not the person who would manage you.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a project manager in IT or software development.
  • Agile/Scrum experience. You know the ceremonies and you know when to drop one.
  • A delivery track record you can talk through honestly, including a project that went wrong.
  • You translate tech to business and back without losing precision in either direction.
  • Dutch at C1 or above, plus professional English. English is the working language with the team in Jakarta.
  • Flexibility for the occasional early or late call with Indonesia.
  • You fix the process problem you notice instead of routing around it.
  • Do not tick every box? Apply anyway if you bring real depth, projects you are proud of and knowledge you can demonstrate. That weighs more heavily with us than an exact number of years.
