New Business Sales Lead

About the role

You bring in the new clients, and you decide how. There is no account list to take over and no queue of leads to work through: you choose who to approach, how to get in, and which story to tell. If that is the part of sales you enjoy, this is the good version of it, because everything that works is yours and goes straight into how we sell.

You are not doing it alone, and that is what separates this from most first commercial seats. Behind you is a delivery organisation that already runs, with engineers in Jakarta and consultants here. References you can genuinely show. Founders who will join a conversation that matters. Pre-sales checks your proposal before you promise anything, so you never sell something we cannot deliver. If you need tooling, budget or a second pair of eyes, you ask and it is there.

The market helps. Dutch SMBs and mid-market companies need software built and do not have the team to build it. You are not selling a licence, you are selling something we will actually make, and you watch it get built by people you know by name. Travelling to Jakarta to work with that team is a normal part of the job.

Sales Lead is in the title because of where this grows. In year one nobody reports to you: you sell, and you write the playbook while you are doing it. After that you decide how we sell in the Netherlands and whether a second commercial seat is justified. You rarely get that much room this early, and it is exactly why the seat exists.

What you'll do

  • Decide for yourself who you approach and how: research, outbound, your own network, events, partnerships. Keep what works, drop what does not. Nobody hands you a script.
  • Run the full cycle, from first contact to signature. Consultative conversations, not a price list.
  • Bring in new clients. That is what your success is measured on, and it is the best part of the job.
  • Run discovery conversations that get to the real problem. You are free to keep asking, even when the client already has a solution in mind.
  • Write proposals together with the Tech Lead. You do not have to carry the technical side alone, that knowledge sits next to you.
  • Say no when it does not fit. That is allowed here, and it is appreciated rather than questioned.
  • Put our own AI tooling to work in your research, preparation and follow-up. We build it ourselves, so when something is missing we build that too.
  • Feed back what you hear in the market. Positioning and pricing genuinely move on what you bring in.
  • Build the commercial foundation: CRM, forecast, a process the next person can run. What that looks like is your call.

How we work

In the Netherlands you work alongside our consultants and the founders. That is where a deal takes shape and where the decision to take one on, or to walk away from it, actually gets made. Towards Jakarta your counterparts are pre-sales and the lead developer, so what you promise a client has been checked by the people who will build it before you promise it. Lines are short: no layers in between, no steering committees, and the founders are in the room for the decisions that matter. Travelling to Jakarta to spend time with the team is a normal part of the role, not a reward. We hold ourselves to the same standard we sell: our own daily operations get improved alongside client work, and when something we built ourselves stops holding up we rebuild it rather than patch around it.

Bonus points

  • You have sold software development, IT consultancy or managed services before.
  • Experience selling into Dutch SMBs and mid-market. You know how that buying process actually runs.
  • Enough technical literacy to enjoy a conversation about architecture rather than dread it.
  • You have opened a market, a region or a new proposition before, and can walk us through what worked and what did not.
  • A network in Brabant or the wider Dutch tech market.

Growth, and what we offer

Where we are right now, so you can judge what you are joining: the Jakarta hub is expanding, and our clients are in the Benelux and the wider EU. That is where the focus sits. Our Dutch engineers sit with the client and build the work together with the team in Jakarta, on the same day rather than across a handover, because what we are working towards is being the technology partner a client trusts with the things that matter rather than a supplier you send a specification to. Growing into the Indonesian market comes after that, and the first commercial seat in Jakarta is where it starts. You arrive while all of this is still taking shape.

  • A competitive salary matching your experience, reviewed every year.
  • In year one you close the first deals yourself and write the playbook while you are doing it. In year two you decide together with the founders whether a second commercial seat is justified and what it should look like, and you hire and lead that person yourself.
  • We listen to our OneMinders. If you see a better way of working, you get the room to develop it and the backing to actually roll it out. Your opinion counts here, and this company is shaped by the people in it.
  • An annual learning budget for courses and certifications, tied to where you want to go.
  • Hybrid working with genuinely flexible hours, and hardware of your choice.
  • Direct access to the founders. Short lines, fast decisions, no bureaucracy.
  • Work that funds something: every project contributes to educational initiatives in Indonesia.
  • Regular travel to Jakarta to spend time with the team there.

How we hire

You speak with the people you would actually work with, not a screening layer that passes you on. The process is the same in Eindhoven and in Jakarta, and from your application to an offer takes three to four weeks.

  1. 1

    The founders

Why us, why you, and whether we mean the same thing.

  2. 2

    The Tech Lead

The work itself: the substance of the role, and what you would actually be doing in it.

  3. 3

    A teammate

Someone you would work with daily, not the person who would manage you.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales in which new business, rather than account management, was the core of the job.
  • Pipeline you sourced yourself. You can name deals that started with an approach you made.
  • A track record you can talk through honestly, including a deal you lost and what you learned.
  • Native-level Dutch and professional English. You sell in Dutch and work in English with your colleagues in Jakarta.
  • You can explain a technical proposition to a non-technical buyer without overpromising.
  • You would rather decide how something gets done than be handed a playbook.
  • Do not tick every box? Apply anyway if you bring real depth, projects you are proud of and knowledge you can demonstrate. That weighs more heavily with us than an exact number of years.
